Food and Body Issues

Beyond dieting and control:
A Somatic Approach

If you are struggling with overeating, ruminating on your weight, or feeling a deep disconnect from your physical self, it is rarely a matter of willpower. It is often a sign that your relationship with food has become a way for your nervous system to manage deeper, unprocessed pain.

I combine my experience as a certified mind-body-eating coach (Institute for the Psychology of Eating) with my somatic therapy knowledge to help you understand the deeper meaning of your food-related issues.

We look at the "why" behind the behaviors—how food might be soothing a system that feels unsafe or inflamed. By settling the underlying nervous system, your relationship with food can naturally begin to shift from a battle to a place of peace, easing the pressure valve.

  • "Our relationship with food is a beautiful mirror that reveals our relationship with life. The 'problem' with food is never just about the food; it is a door that leads us to the parts of ourselves that are longing for attention and care."
